Itinerary
Departure from Nairobi to Aberdare National Park.
- Upon pick up on arrival, your guide will brief you and later you will depart for Aberdare National Park.
- You will arrive in time for lunch and later check into your hotel. Modeled after Noah's Ark, it has four viewing decks with balconies and lounges to provide superb game viewing from the comfort of the lodge.
- Dinner & Overnight at The Ark Lodge.
- The park covers an area of 766 square kilometers and forms part of the Aberdare Mountain Range. It contains a wide range of landscapes from the mountain peaks, to their deep, V-shaped valleys intersected by streams, rivers, and waterfalls.
Proceed to Ol Pejeta Conservancy.
- After breakfast, drive to Sweetwaters Camp with views across the plains to the snow-capped peak of Mount Kenya, the camp overlooks a waterhole where giraffes, gazelle and warthogs come to drink.
- Arrive in time for lunch and check in.
- Afternoon game drive in the predator-rich Ol Pejeta Conservancy, which also contains two prominent sanctuaries, one for chimpanzees and another for rhino.
- Dinner & overnight at Maisha Sweetwaters, Serena Camp.
Proceed to Lake Nakuru.
- After breakfast, you will drive to Lake Nakuru National Park while enjoying the breathtaking scenery that makes the landscape of the Great Rift Valley.
- Next, you will have a brief stop at the Subukia viewpoint. You will arrive in time for lunch and check in at the lodge after lunch.
- Finally, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.
- Dinner & Overnight at Lake Nakuru Lodge
- Lake Nakuru is one of the Great Rift Valley lakes at an elevation of 1,754m (5,755 ft) above sea level. It lies to the south of Nakuru, in Kenya's rift valley, and is protected by Lake Nakuru National Park. The lake's abundance of algae attracts a vast quantity of flamingos that famously line the shore. Other birds also flourish in the area, as do warthogs, baboons, and other large mammals. Eastern black and southern white rhinos have also been introduced in this area.
Travel to the Mara.
- After breakfast, check out and drive to the world-famous Maasai Mara National Reserve via Narok. Upon arrival, you will commence with a game drive.
- Next, you will check in and have lunch at the camp.
- Finally, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park.
- Dinner & overnight at Mara Maisha Camp.
- Enjoy this incredible, once-in-a-lifetime experience in the vast Masai Mara plains.
Maasai Mara National reserve.
- Breakfast at the camp. Afterwards, you will proceed for a morning game drive.
- Lunch which will be packed to enjoy during the day.
- In the afternoon, embark on an afternoon game drive until sunset. You can also visit a Maasai village (payment for this tour is at the village).
- Dinner & overnight at Mara Maisha Camp.
- Maasai Mara offers an absolutely unique variety of animals. The reason is that this hilly region is both humid and fertile, and is crossed by the rivers Mara and Talek, full of crocodiles and hippos, which carry water the whole year round. The banks of the rivers are covered in thick forest, which gradually makes way for bush and grassland. The abundance of water and excellent availability of food are the reasons why the Maasai Mara, which in fact is a continuance of the Tanzanian Serengeti National Park, has the greatest population of wild animals in the whole of Africa. There is a particularly dramatic “spectacle” from July to November, the annual migration of huge herds of Gnus and Zebras. Predators such as Hyenas, Jackals, Leopards and Lions of course, closely follow these herds. Gigantic herds of over 200 buffaloes can also be observed. Plenty of food is available for elephants, giraffes, and the many species of antelopes.
Proceed to Lake Naivasha.
- Breakfast at the camp. Afterwards, drive to Lake Naivasha.
- Arrive in time for lunch followed by check in.
- Afternoon at leisure and optional boat ride.
- Dinner & Overnight at Lake Naivasha Sawela Lodge.
- Lake Naivasha is a beautiful freshwater lake fringed by thick papyrus. The lake and its surrounds are rich in natural bounty, and the fertile soils and water supply have made this one of Kenya's prime agricultural regions. Much of the lake is surrounded by forests of the yellow-barked Acacia Xanthophloea, known as the yellow fever tree. These forests abound with bird life which makes Naivasha a world-class birding destination. In addition, the lake's waters draw a great range of wildlife to its shores. Giraffes wander among the acacia, buffalo wallow in the swamps, and Colobus monkeys call from the treetops while the lakes' large hippo population sleeps the day out in the shallows.
Proceed to Amboseli national park.
- After breakfast at the camp, you will depart for Amboseli Game Reserve.
- Arrive in time for lunch followed by check in.
- Afternoon at leisure. In the afternoon, go for your first game drive.
- Dinner & Overnight at Kibo Safari Camp.
- The park is famous for being the best place in Africa to get close to free-ranging elephants among other wildlife species. The ecosystem is mainly savannah grassland, spread across the Kenya-Tanzania border. Other attractions of the park include opportunities to meet the masai and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak and highest free-standing mountain in the world. Even though the majestic Kilimanjaro is located in Tanzania, the best view of it is in Amboseli National Park which is strategically located at the foot of the mountain. From the prehistoric site of Observation Hill, the sunset over Kilimanjaro is magnificent.
Drive Back to the capital.
- Enjoy breakfast at the camp.
- Enroute game drive as you drive back to Nairobi.
- Lunch and later you will have a chance to shop for souvenirs.
- Finally, you will be dropped off at the airport for your outbound flight back home.
- End of Service.
